Safety first!
We are never too careful in the car. Even if you are an excellent driver, regardless of the weather conditions, the risk of an accident always awaits you, and sometimes with serious consequences. This is why it is better to remain vigilant and anticipate possible problems.
Take your time
On bad weather days, it is best to slow down. Whenever possible, also try to keep a greater distance from other vehicles, which will allow you to better anticipate the movements of other road users and greatly reduce the risk of an accident.
If visibility drops below 50 meters, regardless of road conditions, try to stay below 50 km/h. Be extra careful when you encounter more vulnerable users: for example, cyclists, who are often poorly lit, or even pedestrians, who are often dressed in dark colors which makes them less visible.
Suddenly winter… and spring!
When the weather warms up, as soon as spring arrives, a winter tire will not perform as well as a summer or all-season tire. This is explained by the use of a rubber specially designed for each season.
In fact, winter tires are more flexible in cold weather, but in hot weather, there is a decrease in grip, which will change road holding and braking distance. When temperatures stay above 7°C on average, go ahead and put away your winter tires!
In addition, we advise you to be vigilant during the thaw period. Indeed, potholes multiply at high speed and you will have to be extra careful so as not to damage your tires and rims. An impact could damage your tire and cause a puncture. Be vigilant to avoid unpleasant surprises.
Avoid driving with worn tires
We recommend that you replace your tires when they are worn out. Indeed, driving a car with tires in poor condition could put your life, as well as that of others, in danger.
